VGDC Fall Quarter Wildcard Project (Prototype)

Interrogate aliens in your precinct and uncover the mystery through dialogue and finding contradictions. The order in which you ask your questions matters. Good luck Detective C.  

[Prototype note]:

  • Click the confrontation button when you believe that you have found a contradiction within a character's dialogue. You can also memory wipe them to bring the conversation back to the start. They won't even remember the questions you've already asked them!
  • After clicking the confrontation or memory wipe button, please click elsewhere on the screen in order to "unclick" the option. There is a bug that we are fixing that keeps playing that button if you click space without clicking elsewhere. 
  • Currently, we have one full dialogue tree implemented for our character, Mr. Dauphin. They can be found in the bottom left of the map in the security room.
  • When interacting with characters,  avoid moving around as getting too far will cause the dialogue system to fail (bring it back with a memory wipe). 
  • Feel free to explore the precinct and meet a few of the other characters you'll encounter in the full game.
  • Pressing space when at a choice branch skips dialogue and makes choices not work. (Note: memory wipe usually fixes this)

Controls:

[WASD]  -> Basic player movement

[Space] -> Interract (when near another character)  / Continue Dialogue

[Mouse click] -> Use for buttons on screen for decision selection
